サウンドアート、アニメ映像、メディアアート、パフォーミングアート、ネイティヴアート、オタク文化……さまざまな表現やカルチャーの影響を受けた、新たな波が押し寄せる北海道のアートシーン。

本展はこの流れをふまえながら、そこに道外のアーティストも交え、今一度、現代アートの可能性を検証していく試みです。

日常にある見慣れた街の風景や地元の文化、フィギュアやアニメ、バーチャルアイドル、私たちの生活スタイルや知覚の働き、そして社会的な事象に至るまで、全てがこれまでと異なる視点で現代のアートとして発信されます。

美術館の常識が消え、全ての人に開かれている新しいアートの姿を、ぜひ体感してください。

A new wave of artistic expression has arrived at the recent and current Hokkaido art scene, across various fields including sound art, animation, media art, performing art, native art, otaku culture, etc.

This exhibition is intended to review the current situation in this place exploring every possibility of contemporary art by introducing up-and-coming artists based in Hokkaido and across the country.

Gaining broader perspectives, images from everyday life and familiar landscapes, local culture, animation films, such subculture elements as plastic figures and virtual pop star, design of a style of life, perceptually-based rendering, conceptual approach to a social phenomenon ― all of these are represented in the context of contemporary art.

After the museum in the ordinary state disappears, what would you find there? We sincerely hope that you would come to experience a new dimension of art which is open to everyone.
